The VASE Program is a job shadowing program we offer high school
students in Berrien County. We shadow with the students for 18
hours at 3 sites of their choosing. We pick the student up at
school, take them to the shadow site, stay with them for the 6
hour shadow and take them home. They are with our Certified Job
Coach the entire time. As a result of this shadow, a strength
based evaluation is generated and presented at the students
school at the end of the 18 hour shadow. We call these meetings
"Exit Meetings". These meetings are attended by the student,
teachers, counselors, parents, ETS and our funding sources.
These students are referred to us and funded by The
Berrien County Intermediate School District and MRS,
through a Cash Match.
